We are delighted to introduce PATRIOT (Platform for Advanced Training & Integrated OPR1000 Thermal-hydraulic Test), an advanced version of our previous experimental facility, URI-LO. PATRIOT is a thermal-hydraulic integral effect test facility that scales down the OPR1000 nuclear power plant by a ratio of 1/8, allowing us to simulate and analyze various thermal-hydraulic phenomena occurring in real nuclear power plants at a laboratory scale. We expect that the utilization of this facility will contribute to enhancing the safety of OPR1000 nuclear power plants, optimizing operating procedures, and developing accident response strategies. We look forward to sharing various research outcomes and findings obtained through the PATRIOT facility in the future.
